Creativity and Caregiving

My creativity shows in my passion for caregiving.

I believe in providing all students with a well-rounded education through play-based learning and a diverse curriculum that includes enrichment programs designed to support each child’s academic, emotional, mental, and physical development.

Everyday is a new experience and ordinary items can become an instant learning resource. For example, look at our “RECYCLED FASHION SHOW.”

I encourage children to make independent choices, read daily, solve problems, and explore their passions through engaging, hands-on activities. Experiential learning fosters perseverance and social-emotional intelligence, preparing children to be school-ready, career-ready, and life-ready.

Caregiving involves routine self-help, personal hygiene, changing, bathing, grooming, assisting with meals, transportation, exercise, helping with medical procedures, and therapy sessions.

Being active, making good choices, and trying new experiences leads to healthy habits!

“Our children are so excited to be with her! She provides unique and fun lessons for them each day. We are impressed with the creative activities that Allison has planned.” – Jason S (Parent Reference)

Reading is ESSENTIAL!

I strongly encourage daily reading, as research consistently shows its significant impact on a child’s educational success. Whether listening to a story, reading together, or taking turns reading aloud, literacy plays a crucial role in a child’s overall development. The benefits of regular reading include:

  • Cognitive stimulation and brain development

  • Expansion of vocabulary and knowledge

  • Reduction of stress and anxiety

  • Support for mental health, including depression and dysthymia

  • Improved memory, focus, and concentration

  • Enhanced writing skills and language fluency

  • Stimulation of imagination and development of empathy

  • Better sleep quality

  • A peaceful, enjoyable form of entertainment

  • Increased optimism and emotional well-being

  • Broadened perspectives and critical thinking skills

Literacy is the key to becoming a life-long learner.
